Marset at 3DaysofDesign in Copenhagen
From 12 to 14 June we participated in 3daysofdesign, a festival that fills the city of Copenhagen with design. In collaboration with Openhouse magazine, we took part in a shared exhibition with two other brands, Expormim and Nani Marquina. The exhibition was held at the gallery Ruby Atelier, a space that was designed for the occasion as though it were an artist’s studio and home.
Providing the lighting, our collection of lamps brought the staging together, acting as a homogenising element. Different Marset designs helped to illuminate this gallery as if it were the place where an artist lives and works. The interior design and décor emphasised different scenes, leaving room for creative messiness, intimate conversations, reflection and laughter. The dynamic and playful, yet calm and minimalist, interior combined designs from the three brands with artwork and sculptures by Ruby Atelier.
In addition, Joanna Laajisto, architect and the designer behind the Ihana lamp, explained in her talk, “Creating silhouettes of light”, how light interacts with different materials and shapes, creating atmospheres that invite reflection, creativity and well-being. She also explained how designs such as the Ihana collection combine technology and aesthetics, demonstrating that lighting is a discipline that requires both technical precision and artistic sensibility.
